El Tenor - The Rum with a Voice of its Own
The Quest for Elegance
Two Operatic Tenors of completely different backgrounds had something in common. A
passion for Premium quality Spirits and Cigars. Very much like Caruso and some other great
Tenors, it was clear from their common interest that they had always craved a Rum that
mirrored and embodied the passion of a true lyric Tenor. Countless nights were spent
experimenting and searching for the perfect balance of spice and sweetness, but the key
ingredient which has made this project special is CAROB syrup. Carob juice is used as a
healing remedy for sore throats in the Mediterranean. This was the perfect link.
A Mediterranean dry fruit which contains dark brown pea-like pods full of succulent pulp,
which produces a sweet and healthy substitute for Chocolate.
Setting the Stage:
Picture this…Two Tenor friends were on a sun-drenched trip in Malta with their families and had a
breakthrough like no other. On a hot afternoon, walking on Comino Island they came across a Carob
tree. A dark, earthy fruit with a rich history. Legend whispered of its voice-soothing properties. This,
they realised, was the missing piece to their creation.
El Tenor is Born:
Infused with the Mediterranean’s finest Carobs, Orange peel oils, Vanilla & Cacao combined to a
special house Rum. El Tenor was born. It possesses a soul stirring complexity – a fiery kick on the first
sip, giving way to a smooth, Caramel sweetness reminiscent of the great Caruso’s singing.
The true magic lies in the subtle Carob notes, which gives a gentle warmth that soothes the throat.
Something that a Tenor sometimes spends a lifetime trying to achieve.

Our Story
This exquisite rum is a heartfelt tribute to the history of the Tenor voice as well as to lyric artists around the world. It is designed to evoke the tranquil moments of reflection that artists cherish after performances. This Carob Spiced Rum’s flavour profile is described as warm and tantalizing. The carob found in the Mediterranean is used for its delicious chocolatey texture, used mainly in syrups and said to have healing properties.
